You constructed a speciliazed scenario in your mind that filled up the RAM.

Imagine the "unimaginable": The RAM isn't filled up yet.

Also, you have a very simplistic view on computing: Components such as RAM don't become useless just because they aren't the sole things being used at the time. e.g. even if you do saturate them, it doesn't mean they aren't a big boost.

I never said RAM is useless. Stop twisting my words, I said it's speed is not the bottleneck ie. the bottleneck and biggest performance gains are elsewhere (RAM capacity, CPU, GPU, storage performance). Neither did I imply the RAM was full. I have no idea what you are on about.

That's pure speculation at this point.

What I have is information from people involved professionally with video editing, reporting that faster RAM is a major boost to performance.

You have your thoughts.

Fine. Until a benchmark or more detailed information is put onto the table there is little point talking about it.

It doesn't make much sense to me why would it give enough of a boost to be completely subjectively perceptible, but I'll take your word for it. Such benchmarks don't really exist so it's difficult to correlate your statement with existing measurements.

For many other tasks and benchmarks in wide public recognition, the differences have in the history been very small, and I'm sure you agree, so most users needn't worry about upgrading to DDR4.
