How to disable UPnp host devices but still be able to use wireless router?

My bf3 has been throwing me errors disconnection errors from time to time. I read this guide and it says for Problem 3, solution 2 that I would need to disable UPnp host devices but I'm worried about this interfering with my wireless router. We need a wireless capability so my sister can use her laptop in the other room. I have my pc running off ethernet cable from the wireless router in my room. Any ideas how to be able to disable UPnp host devices and still be able to have them connect to the router?

Disabling UPnP doesn't affect clients joining the network. You should be able to login to the router and disable UPnP in the admin interface. UPnP is used by clients on the network to automatically open ports on the router as needed by applications (torrent clients, games, game consoles, etc)
