I remember tons of benches were using World in Conflict (and Supreme Commander), just like today where Starcraft II, Crysis 3m or Battlefield 3 are benchmark games. I'm digressing, but why are all the benches action/RPG or FPS these days? Will it take Company of Heroes 2 , Command and Conquer, or something to change this?
Apparently R.U.S.E. never caught on. (I didn't try it)
I never played MP on it lol. But i did reply the single player many times and it was always fun. A great looking game and a decent story and great gameplay for $3. Really disappointed they didn't make a second
I think what they want to bench RTS games is status and/or visuals. Start Craft is the COD of RTS games, it's the most popular one by far which is why they bench it the only reason WiC made it into benchmarks is because it was a great looking game and taxed both the CPU and GPU pretty heavily. RUSE didn't catch on because it didn't look amazing and it wasn't an established franchise though i think Guru3D did bench it.
