Idle Temps at 55 C on one monitor

Hey guys, my EVGA 670 is having idle temp problems. It idles around 50 C now for some reason. Never had this problem in the past. I had been messing around a little bit with Precision X and tried uninstalling it and restarting my computer but still have this problem.

It is not case management or fan problems. Something is up with my card or a software.

The problem goes away if I run Nvidia Inspector with the Multi-Display Power Saver, temps go back to 35 C.

Help?

I would reinstall Precision X and make sure that everything is back to it's stock form.

If that doesn't work, have you used any other programs to overclock?

Given it cools down in powersave mode, I'd say it's not downclocking when idling.

Check your temps + clock speeds together. And try another monitoring program too.

Surprisingly it may have been a driver issue. I did a clean install of the latest NVIDIA driver and am okay now.
