Yes they did they either worked hard or were developing a brain and doing this like this or better (at least the areas that weren't over contaminated with religion since they only did hard work there no thinking)

Yea... no.

Teenagers in years past are no different than teenagers today, they spent all their time at the watering hole smoking & drinking instead of cruising the mall. *OH SO HUGE A DIFFERENCE!*
Most were not hard workers, most thought anything to do with science and technology was nerdy and didn't want to be involved.
Remove your silly rose glasses please.

Dam you US and dam you Grease(or whatever caused this)

I guess it is all different on the other side of the big pond but we have a boatload of overeducated people in their 40's not being able to get a job they sure worked hard then you have the gen before them who had to rebuild after the war which have also worked hard.
Maybe it is the fact that our economy is based on knowledge since the only thing we export is wafer machines, beer(we also license mountain dew #Heineken) and steel, and a lot of gas.
But it sure was fun being in the top 3 out of 120 students on the Havo guess I should've done VWO to begin with tongue.gif

Back in my day, none of these teenagers had radios to take Jesus away from them! What with their jazz and blues, they're on a path to Hell. And I hear you can do intimate things in the back seat of these new-fangled automobiles. Can you imagine it? Kissing! Before marriage!

Back in my day, we didn't have no steam engine to do all our work. If you wanted to get somewhere, you walked or rode a horse. If you did work, you used a mule or did it yourself. We had a good work ethic, but nowadays all I see is laziness.

Back in my day, we didn't have no fire and respected the sun. But now you can just make your own. Kids these days, I bet that stayin' up all night only leads to trouble. I didn't get in no trouble when I was young. I just threw big rocks to get dinner.

Every. Single. Generation.

This has been done, I heard of someone putting peltier tiles on a wood stove and powering and heating his home from the same source. Relay some car batterys and you have a lot of spare power.

Yea we're all jealous of designing a mediocre flashlight for a science fair. It's really nothing that impressive when you consider all of the other science projects, done by other kids, which are vastly superior.
For example, valerie Ding's "Integrating Quantum Mechanical Modeling and Novel Solar Absorption Algorithm"
