Yeah. It seems so. As for me 3rd slot looks to be the better. Was overclocking memory using the igp at the same time. Now I have a dedicated VGA. Will test again this week. Hope to go higher this time.

BTW sometimes I have some weird issues, but they disappear disabling the Etron USB 3.0 controller. Thats very strange xD

Anybody here use MDPC Yellow sleeving with this MOBO?? I am getting ready to do my cables and wondering how close it is to matching.

Also, did anyone connect the second 8 pin CPU connector?? I was thinking about making a 1-2 "Y" connector for it, but then I got to thinking it doesnt help because all the power would still be going through 1x8 pin connector. So I am thinking of splicing into the wires and soldering another connector on. That way it will allow electric to flow more freely, and wont be bottle necked by a single connector. My PSU is an HX850, which is semi modular, so the CPU power is hardwired in.

I've always noticed a box noise coming from my speakers when ever my rig is shut down. But it did it with my last rig as well.

Hi Guys.
I know that thread is almost dead - but issue is serious enough and I may help those who could face the same problem.
To make long story short I updated my perfectly working rig to latest Bios v2,10 whatever the reason - not important now - and I immediately experienced dreaded "USB HITPLUG" Error.
After about an hour of resetting Bios = changing Ram modules.disconnecting all usb devices and motherboard usb headers I finally succeeded to solve problem.

And solution was downgrading Bios to v2.0.

To be honest I flashed Bios on mildly overcooked system but anyway - not a pleasant experience.
hope it helps other people too.

New code is tuned for broadwell.

Seems not good for haswell cpu

Plz stay at 2.0

Nick Thank you for your prompt reply.
It would be useful to put some warning either at bios download section or inside the file itself.

Hi,
I have some problems with my z87m ocf. After a couple of months with no problems, it started to fail to boot and to resume from sleep. It just power up for a second and shuts down. And is doing this 6-8 times and after that it stops at code d6.
I tried the backup bios and I can boot to windows but I have to clear cmos every time. And the Secure Backup UEFI ( B -> A ) is not working, just goes in boot loop again.
BIOS A: 1.8
BIOS B: 1.6

The rest of the sistem is an i5-4690k, 2x8Gb Crucial Balistix 1600 CL8, Kingston 120Gb SSD, Cooler Master V750 semi-modular PSU, Windows 10 Home.

d6 is gpu error, I only use the igpu
I can hear the psu relay clicking on every boot atempt
after I boot in windows i can stress the cpu and is stable
