One of the main reasons I would go with the 7950 is the mac ROM, so if I did go with a 7950, it'd be the one I linked, since it'll be closest to the "mac edition" and hence more compatible with the ROM (although I've heard it's been adapted even to the 7870 and such, but with more issues).

Factoring in the right math, it seems like a no brainier to go with the 760, if only EVGA SC ACX were in stock somewhere...

If you need compute power the HD 7950 is a better choice. I know Macs use nvidia but I'm not sure you can just use any nvidia card.

I don't really need compute. I do some 3D modeling and such, but not really a big factor. You can use *almost* any, but the 7950 is "native", i.e. no tweaking, just put it in and go... All outputs, sound, etc. functional.
