i will be doing some slight cnc programming along with CAD/CAM 3d part modeling and machine rendering, i figured the 4770k with hyperhreading would help with that. as for a dual gpu setup, i don't know if the CAD/CAM softwares i'll be using will utilize 2 gpus, if anything, i could probably set up that software to run on only one 680 through nvidia control panel

Oh I didn't know that you had use for dual GPU's and an i7. For your uses it will work great. And for gaming you will get great fps too.
