Worth it to upgrade to 4770k? - Page 2

Thanks guys. Ima go with the 4770k over the 4670k. I game and broadcast alot and the C2D just isnt cutting it. Its also bottlenecking my 470 bad(bf3 ultra max fps 40 with gpu usage @ 35-60% CPU 99%)

Can anyone recommend a good motherboard too? I would like 3 or 4way sli if possible. I WILL be over clocking too. I think i with make a custom loop finally(ive barely dipped my feet into liquid with a kuhler 620)

With the power of today's cards, there is literally no reason whatsoever to go beyond dual GPU's, unless you're just trying to show how big your e-package is to people who wont really care.

But if you must have 3-way, the G1 Sniper is an amazing board.

If you decide to go with a dual GPU setup, your options are massive. UD4H, UD5H? A dual GPU setup also really opens up your choices for aesthetics.

4 way xfire or 4 way sli probably the GIGABYTE G1.Sniper 5 or MAXIMUS VI EXTREME is your best bet but at $400 for either board approx, x79 may be an option with a 3820

The Asus z87-WS is also an option, its cheaper!

4 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (dual x16 or x16/x8/x8 or quad x8)
