blue tint in small area of new crossover 1440p monitor

Just recently got this monitor and I have about a 1 inch square spot on the bottom of the screen that has a blue tint to it. Not really noticeable in games but on a white background it is quite annoying. Anyone have any ideas on a possible fix?

Is it LED back-lit? It is possible that it was bumped in that spot, causing the lighting to go askew.

It is LED backlit. I've been doing a bit of research and it seems that it could possibly be caused by missing epoxy on the back of a couple of LEDs. The monitor hasn't been hit or mishandled.

See if you can send it in for a replacement, there should be some type of standard warranty.

Sorry for the late response, been bust with work and whatnot. After completely disassembling the monitor five of the LED's were missing epoxy. After buying some all-purpose epoxy and applying it in a little drop over each of the LED's I ended up fixing it. Can't believe it worked but all the blue tint is gone, screen looks absolutely perfect again except for a small hair about 1/4" long that ended up getting stuck in one of the pieces of plastic behind the screen as I was putting it back together frown.gif
