Avast pinging threats... from inside virtualbox?

Just in the last 10 minutes or so while browsing OCN through a ubuntu 12.04 vm my windows avast has popped 7-8 times now with "threat detected". The path leads to virtual box but gets cut off in the display. The urls have been varied, something .pixel, something .adyield. All while browsing OCN through the VM firefox.

I don't know if this is a problem on OCN or my avast but I'm equally concerned that inside VM tripped my host. Thought it was sandboxed?

Is this genuine security issue? or just avast messing with my head?

*EDIT* 13 minutes later : Been bouncing around OCN in windows on chrome and avast hasn't gone off once. I am perplexed mad.gif

Update. Seems to only be ubuntu 12.04 in vm that is doing this. Debian gnome stable isn't, mint hasn't done it yet either. Still worried about the vm popping the host though. Even if only in error that makes me nervous as I do my "risky browsing" on vms. No not talking bout pron.
