Looking for a New Mouse - Page 2

I do it naturally, many do. You don't have to bend the hand at all. Just depends on size and shape of the mouse.

Not exactly, I'll try and make a pic like that tomorrow.

Hmm, I was going to go with the AM because I thought the FK might be a bit small. I don't fully palm the mouse, just make a little contact with the base of my palm for support. Is the FK large enough to touch your palm when you hold it?

Also, regarding button sensitivity, are there comparable alternatives to zowie that offer lighter button activation?

Roccat Savu. I've been through a dozen mice over the past year or so and settled on it.. I'd love to try a Zowie FK but for $67 I'm afraid it would be a waste of money. I don't know if it would be an improvement over the Savu or not.

The Savu is normally $50+. Amazon has it for $29 after clickable coupon.

Sounds like claw grip to me.

I do the same and use my fingers only for fine aiming, and I think the FK is brilliant for it. And yeah, even though it's low profile it's long enough to make good contact with the base of your palm.

The Savu mentioned above is definitely a good option if you want lighter clicks, especially for $30. I personally haven't tried it because I think ergo thumb rests are really annoying to use with claw grip, but that could be up to preference maybe.

This is how I hold my mice, and what I considered to be a palm grip. The deep red palm area is where I put up the pressure to hold the mouse, so I need the mouse to have a wide enough base. My thumb is aiding that, but can be moved in that grip. The other lighter areas like fingers only lie flat on the mouse. I consider this palm because my hand lies flat on the mouse, my fingers aren't arched (or better: only slightly arched). The base of my hand rests on the mousepad while keeping the mouse still and hovers above the pad while making bigger moves.

This way works well with the FK for me (my hand is from base to middle finger tip 19.8 cm)

EDIT: Going to take a photo later

Interesting. Thank you.

No need for photo, didn't mean to bother you.
