[Build Log] Sleek & Clean Obsidian 350D [Getting picture heavy] - Page 2

I would say the 350D is a very pretty case, so doing anything to the outside could take away from the aesthetics,
as for modding I would love to take the new Corsair 540 AIR thingy, sit it on it's side and see if I could make it look like W.O.P.R. smile.gif
skills elude me..... frown.gif

Well agree and disagree. Because the front is very nice and very clean - just the way i like it and want to keep it.
But the top, well, it's a fail. But i im not ready to figure out what to do about it, as i'm still figuring out how to make my sleeving the 24 pins ATX cable pretty. frown.gif
I'm afraid i was too cheap, and should have gone with MDPC.. But $100 just for sleeving, seemed a bit extreme at the excessive!

Regarding the Air 540, well that is indeed a gorgeus case, but quite large! smile.gif

I see what you mean about the top, the inset grilles do look a little off

and the exhaust will no doubt need to be used, so a piece of brushed aluminium or smoked perspex with some air holes in might level that up

Indeed, that would be a very nice touch!

You'd perhaps need to replace the entire top of the case, to make it pretty i reckon.
And that would be quite costly to fabricate, unless one could do it by own devices. frown.gif
But that would definately look absolutely fantastic! drool.gif

A piece of plexi would most likely bring this up to level the top for sure. If you wanted to make it pretty, I agree smoked plexi would be your best choice . . . add some nice LED fans below and I think the effect could be quite nice.

I actually thought about some black/smoked plexi aswell, but it might look weird. But i guess if made right, it does has its appeals!
