Is Frys easy with returning CPU's?

Has anyone returned a CPU to frys before?

My 2500k is going out for RMA to Intel so i was wondering if i could buy a temporary i3/i5 at Frys; then when my RMA is done (in less than 15 days) i can return the CPU in box to Frys with the stock cooler untouched and box in perfect condition

I read that their policy is 15 days for processors, but they say its for "unused processors".... how would they know? If you could just clean off all the TIM... not use the stock heatsink... shouldnt a return go smoothly?

What do you guys think? I cannot find any other store besides frys that offers a return policy for CPU's. I believe newegg says you can only exchange it for another CPU....

There's a holographic seal on the box. I'm not sure if they will take it back if you break the seal.
Once again...

negative, I returned mine used seal broken and everything. Frys will take it back as long as its under 15 days, they just ask why you're returning it. I said "I'm downgrading". Wam bam thank you mam, got my refund 2 days later.

p.s. I hate fry's I think 80% of the workers there are incompetent.

Yeah ive returned so many things at frys and i feel like their workers dont even question you as long as you give them some sort of legitimate answer as to why youre returning it.

So are you saying it should be a breeze just like returning any other product? Maybe ill buy the cheapest i5.... temporarily...

yeah it's a breeze, I returned my 4770k at Frys in Palo Alto and all they asked was why I was returning it and then issued me a refund.

It's very easy to do. They ask you why your returning it and that it works still, in my case I returned a 3570k to get a 3770k (and my 2nd set of samsung wonder ram :>).
