[Ubi] Ubisoft security update - Page 2

I'm wondering, can someone sue Ubisoft for that ?
I don't have an account, so I'm not talking about my case, and I'm not talking only about Ubisoft (but for any kind of service).

When I subscribe to a service, I enter my personal information (name, email, ...). That means I trust the company.
Then because of the company is not secured, my data is stolen. That means the company is incompetent. Shouldn't they pay for that ?

What do you think about it?

Is there in the terms of service a sentence like: if we are hacked, too bad for you.

Yeah, generally ToS or EULA covers that.

This is why everybody should be using 1Password or an equivalent for every login they have, as well as two-factor authentication where available. Intrusions like this happen far more often than we hear about, but holy hell Ubisoft are terrible at securing their stuff. Between UPlay having software vulnerabilities left, right and centre, and their seemingly monthly site breaches, they clearly don't care much about security.

PS. -16 character password maximum? I mean, I know password length is irrelevant if the database is compromised and the passwords are in plaintext, but again, Ubisoft's utter lack of mitigation attempts is pathetic.
