question for the AsusG46VW display.

I recently found out about HIDevolution and their 14"1600x900 lcd display for this laptop and its only 100 $
My question is how good is the minitor in terms of contrast ratio and black levels also is there a performance hit with using a higher resolution on the gtx 660m high.

Basically I'm asking is it worth the upgrade
Or should I stick with 720p

First make sure the display is compatible. In terms of size (Depth). Then make sure it has the correct adapater. LVDS, Dual LVDS, or eDP.

There will be a performance hit. It will still game at 900P though.

be hard for it to not be the right screen because HIDevo installs the same screen in the G46vw as an upgrade when you buy the laptop from them

im thinking about doing it, i just hope the hit is strong

Why would you hope the hit is strong? So you'd be forced to game at lower settings? tongue.gif

The difference between 720p and 900p is pretty small. Now, going from 720p to 1080p... now THERE's the difference....
