OP, if you're just trying to make a hackintosh I'd wait til the new Mac Pro is out with the Firepro W9000 in Crossfire Pro. Right now Nvidia cards see far better support but it will change (not if, will).

There's a HD7950 for Mac Pro (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202027) , it's just stupid expensive and has a loud reference cooler.

Adobe CC will be using OpenCL , so any Nvidia card is going to be obsolete for Adobe in about a year.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
@dtolios , Quadro K2000 performs worse than Firepro W5000 and Firepro W7000 in Solidworks. The Quadro K2000 is a gimped GTX 650 (GK!07) core , the Firepro W7000 is a 950MHz HD7870 with 4GB ECC VRAM whereas Firepro W5000 is a 75% enabled HD7850 Pitcairn core (to meet TDP).

That is all.

Great stuff AlphaC. Definitely rep worthy info thumb.gif So one of the main questions here it seams is if the machine will be used only with CS6 or if there is an intention to upgrade to Photoshop CC once its out.

As far as I am aware he is still running CS4 or 5 not sure whether he plans to upgrade to CC, unlikely though, for the time being at least, I don't think he will be willing to shell out lots more money on updating software that he already has
