G700 vs G700s

The G700 is $60 on amazon and the G700s is 86 right now. They look pretty similar and most reviews have pointed out that they are quite alike but is the newer model worth the extra 26 bucks? Prices

Exact same mouse, different stylings. Maybe a few minor minor differences. Get whichever is cheaper. thumb.gif

I have the G700 and my buddy has the G700s. Used both, pretty much the same. The only major difference which isnt a dealbreaker for me is that the coating on the G700s is sliiightly nicer, very slight, not even really a perk. The only suggestion I have is if you want/need to play with the cable plugged in, buy a cable with a smaller base so it doesn't create friction. Stock one isnt bad but I prefer smoothness lol

It's just a USB cable right? I had seen that there were a lot of complaints about using it with the cable, so is it possible to plug any USB (micro is it, can't quite see from amazon pics?) into it and have it work fine?

Yup any micro usb cable should work. I would suggest getting a plug-in usb charger thing (they plug into the outlet, you plug usb cable into it and it charges things) so you can turn off rig at night and charge while you sleep. biggrin.gif

Do you use a separately bought usb cable and is it better?

I personally have no real opinion about that due to the fact that I had the usb charger thing so I charged it at night and when I wasn't using it and it would last through 5+ hour gaming sessions.
My dad is currently using it as I have my MMO 7 back and he uses the aftermarket cable. Loves being able to be plugged in while playing. Just make sure the cord isnt too stiff if you play on gaming with it plugged in.
In no way is the cord that comes with it inferior, its just a bit larger. If you wanted you could probably mod the bottom of the cable (you will see when you get it) and it would be perfect.
