According to @evleaks, an anonymous Twitter account that has been accurate with mobile rumors in the past, the Moto X will be equipped with a 720p display, a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro and a 10-megapixel camera. It is also rumored to include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean .

and if you've been following the phone at all you'll recognize evleaks as the people who leaked the first set of pictures iirc. You can also see where a new motorola device has passed through the FCC that matches up with everything I've talked about.

You can continue to say that the specs havent been officially anounced which is true but I'm pretty sure we are all speculating at this point anyways. So stop beating a dead horse.

That's not the moto x, that's the xfone. The xfone is low in specs and already fixing to come out.

I'm guessing whatever this phone is with these low specs isn't the phone "designed by the people".

You do realize that no-one knows whether or not that is in fact what will be the Motorola X or not. Even the source you supplied said they were confused. I wouldn't get your hopes up about a super phone developed by Motorola currently. Look at their previous releases. The Droid Razr/Razr Maxx and Razr HD/ Razr Maxx HD were all released with sub otimal specs for their time. The HD's came out with 720p screens when 1080p was literally a couple of months away.

So once you look at that and look at the specs above you start to realize that it isn't that far fetched of an idea. Then you also have Google Execs pre-abandonment of the X phone saying that the device wouldn't be overly large, would have a nice battery, having the phone be "smart" and having an always on search/sensing mechanism, plethora of sensors, etc. They said it was more about the experience then the actual specifications of the phone. Once you take that into consideration and you add in the leaks that we have it all doesnt sound that far fetched and isn't too hard to speculate that the Motorola X will have those specs and it won't be that phenomenal. Also rememeber that Google said that when they were acquired they still had 12-18 months of products in their "pipeline" for what they wanted to get out to the consumer. The 18 month mark was just a few months ago. So how much time has Google really had to influence a device?

I also don't think you took into consideration my comment about all this being speculation. I personally like Motorola more then I do Samsung. HTC holds the Android crown for me but I can say that I loved my Razr Maxx, Droid X, and Thunderbolt equally. The DNA is the phone that made me give HTC the crown because currently Motorola doesn't have an answer for the DNA or the One. So personally I'm rooting for Motorola to really drop a bomb on the Android market and come back to the front. I think once Google really gets behind them and starts pushing out more and more of their ideas we will really start getting what we want from them but right now I'm sticking with the belief that this phone wont impress on the hardware specifications.

I can say with confidence, there is another phone coming with better specs, if I'm wrong then I'll come back here and admit it. There's to many conflicting sources and the fact that moto said we design the phone, this isn't the phone I'm almost 100 percent sure. Only time will tell though, no use in arguing what we don't know for sure. I thought a few posts back they weren't confused anymore, but as I looked further into it, nothing has changed.

I agree but I just saw this and thought I would post it.

they're still using similar specs to what I said. Of course just because its a 4.7" screen doesnt mean it didn't get bumped up to 1080p. Just look at the One and you'll understand that. I think the color options is gonna be really cool. Who knows maybe it will be a really awesome phone!

There's still a demand for that type of phone. The two-year-old Nokia E7, which runs Symbian on a 680 MHz ARM11 for crying out loud, still sells new for up to $200 on eBay all the time. And I'd gladly pay a lot more than that for a version that runs WP8 on updated hardware, if they would just make it.

That doesnt change the fact that it's a niche market. This phone is trying to compete with the S4's and HTC Ones of the world, they wont do that by sticking a hardware keyboard on it. Now if they offered that as a customization option, that would be awesome.

Looks like a smoke screen, TBH.

What are these awesome features that the Nexus 4 has?

All the sensors that are (rumored) to be a part of the X seem pretty impressive. Activating the camera with a flick, speaker automatically turning on when your driving, etc.
