if your going to run 2 8800gtx in sli you need to have at least a 850 Watt psu and nvidia recommends that you have at least 2 12v rails that run @30A

this is a good psu for 8800gtx sli

yeah they came with the video cards when i ordered them...im actually thinking about getting a dedicated psu for my video cards so that i never have power issues but i would need one for each to make sure theres enough good solid juice and i dont have room in my current case

Yeah I don't see the point in downgrading. You will probably lose money by downgrading. You're not going to be able to sell your PSU for full price concidering it's used. So I have no idea why you would ever downgrade your PSU when you have one of the best available. Not much of a downgrade if you ask me.

I would easily be able to sell it for more than what I would pay for an 850W PSU, so I'm not quite sure what you mean. Plus, you aren't considering the rail power distribution.

PC-Man, do you plug the adapter into one molex chain or do you have two molex chains per adapter?
