You should be good with a solid 500w PSU for that rig. No need to go overboard unless you are planning on SLI any time soon, and even then, 850W would be a bit much.

650W would give room for SLI/Overclocking, which is why I suggested it. You are correct, though. smile.gif

Great PSU. Great Warranty service from Corsair, too!

Yea, that's perfect, a 650W doesn't cost that much more than a 500 and there are a ton of more options when it comes to available units too!

And I agree, the TX or the HX would be perfect for him! biggrin.gif

Last thing I was looking into the GS600w power supply is over clocking possible on that if i decide to go for ivy bridge-e in the future? Plus it saves money and the c70 has amazing cable management so the cables aint an issue

I don't think that would be a problem. I'd personally go with the HX or the TX over a CX or GX psu. They are just better units. But 600 should be enough for OC and one GPU no probs.

The corsair TX650 can SLI even 2 gtx 680.
Spend more on watts only if you plan on upgrading the gpu as well in future otherwise it will be a waste.
Don't go with the GS corsair, they are lower in quality than TX, HX as Krullmeister said biggrin.gif
