Overall, if they're available and GTs are not - or if the price difference is worth it (~$2/fan isn't much difference IMO) then I'd go with them. There are certainly plenty of builds based on them and no one is complaining about early failures or horrible performance... so in that sense they are great!

thanks for the info biggrin.gif

was gonna get them for the red ring to go with my new build im making, but didnt know if the performance was good or not. I would get some gt ap-15s but i dont wanna have to custom paint them lol.

Yeah, I put Silverstone dust filters on all of my GTs that were visible (and then they're behind grills as well) so I wasn't concerned with colors. If it's something that's going to be front-and-center, you really can't go wrong with the Corsairs - especially if you're doing a white, blue, or red build. Actually, even if you're not - since it's way easier to paint the white rings to be whatever color you want, without worrying about ruining the balance of your blades by painting them a little too heavily! thumb.gif

yeah the red rings will fit perfectly with my build, but i was just curious if they were actually silent and performed well, because if they were grinder sounding fans that didnt move a lot of air, i wouldnt get them even if they fit the build lol.

also, any input on the corsair high performance sp120 fans? are they really noisy? ive heard at full rpm they can sound like a jet taking off in your case. Hows the " high performance" performance of these fans?

sorry if im jacking the ops thread lol just thought this would be a good place to get some good fan info relative to both our interests.

No griding or whine really with them... they just make a little more noise than the GTs moving the air (so more 'whoosh' noise). The difference is nominal and they do seem to move plenty of air. biggrin.gif
