I've been realizing my i7-3930k has been running really hot at idle, like 50 celcius with my AC on and 60 with it off. I have a noctua nh-d14 on it so there's no reason for it to be so hot unless there is something wrong with the way the noctua was mounted (I did use the 2011 bracket). It did give me some trouble at first but i did get it eventually. I use the TIM the noctua came with. Everything is house in the temjin tj10 by silverstone, i've read airflow isnt the best in it. So i was wondering what i could do to fix the problem? I'm thinking my noctua isnt mounted correctly. If thats the case any good cpu coolers with easier installation or is my noctua just being finnicky? Thanks to all who give me suggestions it is much appreciated!
