Anyone with a AMD 64 X2 3800+? - Page 2

Check out page 2-20 (2.6) in your Mobo Manual. It is refered to as a RTC (Real-Time Clock) reset. You may have to remove your Video card to remove the battery.

NV - you got it.

2.4 seems the highest I can get. I have alot of volts in my ram now and I don't want to go any higher...... I haven't done a load test yet, got too late for that last night. But hopefully today I can and see where it takes me....

I got a new fan last night just so I can OC and so far just on idle OC'ed it is running cooler. I did do a very small 100% load test and it never got above 42c so hopefully full load long test will not get too hot either.... WISH ME LUCK!

Mine was at 2.8GHz before I sold my ram (939 though). With 4 sticks of ram you are doing very well though, AMD's dont like it. Maybe invest in a decent 2x1GB kit, that will help. And what are your specs on your psu? The mode?l

2.8 sure...I believe you.

Try lowering the RAM divider to take the RAM speed out of the mix as a limiting factor.

Try a 7X CPU multiplier and start off at 320 FSB and 3X HT and 1.42 Vcore and see where that goes.

You should be able to sneak up 2600MHZ without much trouble--but prolly not without adjusting the settings as mentioned.

Keep the HT value under 1000, the Vcore under 1.475, the RAM within 10% of SPD and you should be able to push on up there.

Did I hear that you are raising your RAM VCore?

You need to raise CPU VCore for higher OC.

What stepping you have?

Sounds like a LDBIE of LDBFE.
yeah i hit 2.7 stable, but it required some voltage. I' expect you to hit 2.6 but the ram is killing you.

If i turn down the voltage on the ram, boot up I get an error saying :

Running in Safe-Mode:
Please re-setting CPU and RAM settings in BIOS

and if I ignore it and continue on everything runs at stock speeds. Plus I don't know all the terms you guys are using. Like Vcore, LDBIE of LDBFE, RAM at 235Mhz(2.5-3-3-5). I just don't know what that means.

My PSU is stock that came with tower. I am trying to find the specs on it now but not being at home with it makes it harder. I have been thinking of getting a 600+ PSU. Any suggestions?

VCore is the voltage going to your CPU
LDBFE and LDBIE are steppings of your processor
RAM is your memory (Random Access Memory)
2.5-3-3-5 are your RAM timings.
235MHz is the speed of your RAM

What are steppings for cpu?

The rest helps (even though I know what RAM means) I just meant the timing, I don't know how to change the timings on the RAM.
