Overclocking IGP

Don't kill me for this question, but...

I'm getting my GTX 760 this Friday. In the meantime, I've decided to triple check my system for stability, and OC what I can. I have an i3, so that means just RAM and IGPU. I got RAM up to 2000MHz @ C11, CPU underclocked .1v (it idles at .72v and load is .92v, scary low), passed 12h of IBT. So I'm left with the IGP. I know it's kind of pointless, but this is OC.net, so nothing is pointless. Also, my CPU doesn't go past +30C over ambient after hours of IBT, even thou it's only cooled by a single case fan running at it's lowest RPM. I have a beast of a cooler thou (Super Mega Shadow).

I'm new to OCing GPUs, so I'm coming here for some advice. I started out by going to 1400MHz @ +0.1v (IDK what that brings the total voltage to, but I found a review where they were able to achieve more than that @ that voltage). I booted up and started OCCT GPU w/ error checking, and FPS were low (as was to be expected), but more importantly, the image didn't move at all -as I think it should. I left it running while I went off to work, came back and it was frozen (the whole computer). I then went into the bios and brought it down to 1350MHz @ +.1v. It did the same thing, just took longer this time. Now I tried stock (it's still running after 5m), but the image STILL stands still. If I turn off errror checking it does move. Is this how it's supposed to work? Also, can someone give me some tips on OCing the IGP? Might as well learn practice for my 760 coolsmiley02.gif

I see no point is messing with your IGP, when your going to have a dedicated GPU in just a couple days. I see threads on here all of the time with people causing problems when messing with their IGP clocks. IMO your going to cause stability issues for no gains whatsoever.

Meh I'd like to try it at least a modest OC temps are a non issue and I do use QuickSync now and then... one thing I do want to know is if there's any chance of permanent damage.
