Really i would get the Genius GX Maurus in your case as he suggested. It's like a Logitech Mini optical. It's great because it's wide which gives you a great grip, no cramping, and a big base for solid fast movements. And of course it's same lenght as the Logitech Mini, as you said great for inwards movments and i know exactly what you're talking about. The pyra seems too narrow, i wouldn't get that. Gripping it would make you press against it's lower sides, making it float, gives worse cursor feel. Plus eventually cramping. The Savu's shape and weight doesn't feel good for RTS IMO, too sluggish, not fast and accurate, the same with the Corsair M40 btw. Get the Maurus seriously.
If the Abyssus would've had side buttons, i would get the Maurus. If any mouse which is considered good for RTS which doesn't have side buttons, would have them now, i would've gotten the Maurus. Initially i wanted to suggest the Team Scorpion Zealot Jr. but no side button. And i feel the same about the DA, for me it just doesn't work for RTS, the handling is far worse than with a small mouse.
I've realised something and i am worried about its "wings", wonder about the grip for the ring and pinky finger. Looks like finicky Dremel extra work. Hope it's fine though.
The wings really distort the feel with the finger tip grip for me. Does it reduce perfomance? I am not sure. I take back this suggestion as I stated on the next page.
Claw is no problem.
