Raid 0 with different brands and cache size

Hello I was wondering if I should put these two hard drives in raid 0:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236339

The main difference seems to be that one has 32mb cache and the other has 64 mb cache. Would it be safe to put it in raid 0? Also if I do put in raid 0 will it be 2TB or 1TB? Thanks

I wouldn't, the Samsung is much slower than the WD. Cache size doesn't matter, disk speeds do.

RAID 0 combines the capacities. So 2 1TB = 2TB after.

How do you determine the disc speed? I always just thought it was mainly RPM. Yeah I'll probably just use them for different things like storage/games. I do have an SSD so I guess it's not really worth it.

You can span the volume in windows if your goal of putting them in RAID was to make them appear as a single drive. Otherwise just use them separately.
