So I just bought a gigabyte z87-d3hp motherboard and an Intel I5 4570 CPU. I got the integrated graphics working and got all the drivers up on the PC. I couldn't, however, get my evga gtx 580 to provide video to my computer. After a couple reboots and bios pcie slot changqes, every other time I would boot the gpu fan would spool up to max speed and just stay there and provide no video. I would turn the PC back off and start it up again and the video card fan would go back to normal speed. I can't even get VGA output to work on the card. I'm assuming this is a fried video card? I'm returning the motherboard and processor tomorrow first thing and going to look at new GPUs. Any thoughts on the situation would be very much appreciated.
