A bad purhcase?

So i've bought a laptop with the following cfg. 3 months ago:
i7 3630qm@2.4GHz /w TB>3.4
GTX 660m (stock)
8GB RAM 1666
1TB (5.4k RPM) Hard

And soo, recently Lenovo released the following with about the same price:
i7 4700mq@2.4GHz /w TB>3.4
GTX 750m
8GB RAM 1666
1TB (5.4k RPM) Hard

Should i have waited for the new one to come out? Since as you know nvidia gives priorities to their latest chips on their drivers

I think 660m and 750m are pretty near each other in terms of performance (same chip) and same goes for both the i7 processors you listed. I wouldn't bother really- you'd wait 3 months to get pretty much the same performance. Now if battery life is desired, you should have waited for haswell, if not, no biggy.

Nah, i really use the laptop 98% of the time plugged in with a battery protection mode on, so i dont mind it.
Thanks for the response smile.gif

It's a near comparison, it wasn't a bad purchase
