Ive been looking at the 2560x 1440 dell u2711 monitor but not sure my gtx 680 would handle max settings on next gen games due for release later this year!? Ive been deciding on a new monitor for some time but finally got £500 to spend. I know alot of people are for high res and same goes for 120hz but if anyone has actually seen a side buy side comparison between the two your input would be most appreciated. As always I would like a second opinion from you experts!! Am I making the right choice? High rez/ 120 hz?? Thanks in advance.

consider this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CROSSOVER-NEW-27QD-LED-BLADE-2560x1440-DVI-D-Dual-LG-S-IPS-27-Speaker-Monitor-/120972653693?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item1c2a88347d - much cheaper, is the same screen used in apple cinema display smile.gif and yes it will have an affect on FPS, but only slightly.

welcome to the real world where you now need a sli/cf set up. Best cards are failing at 1080p unless you use sub par settings for your high end card biggrin.gif
