Best to know Agile for a manager?

Thread Starter
Hi everyone, i'm currently studying Business Administration, IT profile, I did a semester in software engineering but discovered i didnt really like programming but more the managing side. I've check my future coursse, and it seem that none is talking about Agile.

I'm wondering if i choose take a course in software engineering which explain all the Agile programming style, or it's not in my best interest to take this course because I won't be programming? thanks!

The Agile methodology should be one of the tools in a manager's tool bag. Its more than just Agile Programming, it encompasses many more areas.

Take it, even if its only so you can understand developer lingo, they will find it easier to keep you in the loop and overall make the whole managing process easier and will be VERY worth it.

You will have to manage them through the "software development life cycle". Agile is one of the most popular methodologies so you will have to learn it. While it may not apply directly to your future job if they use another method, some of its concepts do apply.
