question about Deionized water

hi everyone

i'm currently using Deionized water + about 100ml car antifreeze (which has protection for corrosion) + 4 drops of pt nuke, and my waterblock is xspc raystorm

my question is about corrosion, is this build ok or i must switch to distilled water for preventing corrosion?

Distilled water IS deionized water.

Drop the antifreeze... You don't need any anti corrosion additives (let alone car antifreeze) as long as you don't mix aluminum in the loop. Just add silver kill coil to battle the algae, or alternatively Mayhems Biocide, which works just as well.

i have xspc raystorm 750 rs240 kit, idk is there any aluminum in this loop or not

can you tell me please?

I seriously doubt the radiator would be aluminum. Most likely brass or copper.

I can confirm that kit kit hascno aluminium in it.

@fulvin there is a pretty big technical difference between distilled and deionized.
Deionized water does not go through the evaporation and distillation process that distilled does.
Deionized can still have soluble contamination.

@OP you will likely see no difference by switching to distilled.
I have been running deionized for over a year in my current loop and over 2 years in my previous loop with zero problems.

Technically, sure.

Be it deionized or distilled, you will get very pure water with both methods. No difference that could be observed with water cooling anyway. Both processes remove the salts, which is most important.
