MP3 CD's not reading correctly

I recently bought a new car and the audio setup is a little unusual. There's no USB or SD input, and while there is an iPod input you can't actually control it from the car controls so you have to pull the iPod out of the glovebox to change the song. However, it does have a "Jukebox" hard drive in the car that lets you copy songs to it from MP3 CD's and then play them off the hard drive, which is nice (although you have to copy MP3 disc to Jukebox, you can't take out the hard drive and just transfer files to it directly).

Now I haven't burned an MP3 disc since I was a kid so I'm not exactly sure what's wrong here. I went into iTunes, chose a playlist and clicked "burn to disc." It burns it, and when I pop it back in I can play all the tracks in Windows Media Player just fine. However when I put it in the car, it always glitches out on specific songs and just skips past them like they're not there. Even if I bring up the List view and choose to play one of those songs, it will just play the next one instead.

I'm only burning the discs at 4x, and they work fine in my computer. I also checked the properties of the bad songs and compared them to the good ones to see if they were read-only or had something else that was different, and they looked exactly the same.

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on here?

Read your cars manual, there should be info about what is compatable and what isnt. Are you bring to a DVD disc or a CD Disc

The manual doesn't say anything about file formats, bitrates, disc type, or anything else. I'm burning to CD Disc, one of the strange things is SOME of the files work, and some don't (on the same disc). It doesn't seem to be related to file format (all mp3), bitrate (sometimes 128 works, sometimes 128 doesn't work, sometimes 192 works, sometimes it doesn't), or anything else (I even ran some of the tracks through Sony Acid and re-rendered them into brand new files, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't). So I'm at a loss.

Could be a CBR VBR issue , a lot of earlier MP3 players didn´t like VBR., might be worth a shot.

My first two guesses would be the car can't read VBR (variable bitrate) or there are characters in your file names that it doesn't like and makes it freak out (or the file names are too long).
