Worth driver upgrading for 400 series users?

I am still using GTX465's unlocked to 470's in SLI currently on 295 drivers. is it worth it upgrading to the newer drivers for users like myself? I heard the 3xx+ drivers were meant for GTX 600 an above series. what is the best one so far, I remember reading the 315 or 320 drivers were damaging cards.

Sure why not, especially if you're planning on playing recent games.

And no, 320.18 did not damage video cards, don't fall for that.

Any explanation for the many cards that died out of nowhere?

I'd personally avoid 320.18 because of all the reports of cards failing due to it, but the newest drivers are great, why not upgrade?

I'd say that YES! It is a good time to update. I went from a gtx 460 to a gtx 770 and it's a lot better.

Hes talking about software, not hardware.
And even if he was, SLI 470s is monster status even by today's standards.

And I see no reason not to.
They dont specifically single out the improvements made in newer games(but they are there), and they add SLI profiles which should be of direct interest to you.

Talking about Drivers, I have OC'd SLI 470's under water and its very good for me, dont want to upgrade until 800 series cards come in. wink.gif

Does the GeForce 320.49 Driver have any problems like cards dying or anything? Since I have been reading a LOT of stuff about the 300 series drivers and cards dying. GeForce 320.49 Driver has any gains for 400 series users like myself? or do I see any improvements at all moving from 295 to 300 + series drivers? I was thinking to reinstall the 295 WHQL Drivers since those were the ones I was using so far.

Whats considered the best out of them and most stable by the community. Sorry, haven't been paying attention since the last 6 + months to the new driver's much.. biggrin.gif
