No sound..

I have realtek audio, i've installed drivers and everything. But I can't get sound to come through my front port or my back port with speakers or headphones. The way I know the jacks work is because when I try to plug in the speakers they still come up with the buzzing sound showing that the port is active and working. I just can't get any sound to come through them. I've had a buddy teamview me, and he heard youtube videos through HIS computer. I'm not sure if we can detect sound from teamview to show if my actual sound card is working or not, but it still detects sound and that it's there. It just doesn't produce any sound through the ports.
Anybody have any ideas? Any information you need about the computer I can provide. Just can't figure this out, and it's driving me up the wall.
-P.S. i have been told to reinstall windows, but I want that to be my last resort...

please fill out your system specs . .

and also have you gone into the device manger and seen if there is a yellow exclamation point by the audio controller?

Actually yeah man, I have tried device manager. Uninstalled & Reinstalled there, also updated from there, then uninstalled updated from asus website, and that's where I'm at now.
I have used Realtek HD Audio Manager to try to configure some things. Even my buddy TVed me and did some things with the realtek manager.
The only way I can truly think of a fix without reinstalling is to buy a USB Headset.
^ Problem with reinstalling btw is the fact I don't have a CD or a CD Drive smile.gif

Did you tried to see if are you using the correct "Playback"?
Maybe your speakers are disable.
Right click at sound manager > playback devices > Right click Speakers > Enable

Or if your system sound is off.
Click sound icon next to hour > Mixer > System sound.
Sometimes this bar gets down and no matter how much your turn the volume up it wont came out any audio.
edit: just noise as you described

Yeah, I've already tried that. It's just my mixer boosting and there isn't even a headphone symbol. Also, when I roll back I get the headphone symbol, but it says not plugged in.

Remember to download the drivers from the source.
Already got it... :/

There wont be any headphone symbol
Headphones still jacket on "Speakers" output, so will be read as speakers. You should have by default 2: Speaker bar and system sound.
If you have other application open like browsers, steam, origin or any other you will see them at the mixer, but what matters are the 2 listed above.

Just make sure both bares are equally by the line
Now if doesn't solve this, go to your Audio manager and make sure you are using Estereo or 2.1 or whatever your headphone supports.
If your audio is set as 7.1 or 5.1 you will be missing lots of sounds, also that is set as default.
