What RAM?

ok im building a pc consisting of-

cpu- conroe e6600
mobo- asus striker extreme
hdd- wd 80gb sata2
psu- gtr 600w
ram- corsair xms2 1gb

now i was wondering is it worth getting the ddr2 800 over the ddr2 667 since ill only be oc it to about 3.2ghz?

hey in my opinion get the fastest that you can now that way when you do oc it and say it performs better then you expected or the best one say you find your highest cpu that you wanna go say thats 3.2 or whatever and then you wanna max out your total system performance so you change your mutli so that your running say 457x7 or something liek that jsut as an example thenyou would want the higher speed ram to make sure you could get there and with the price difference not that much

If you are getting the E6600 it is not all that much better to pay for the DDR2 800 if you are only planning to go to 3.2Ghz. If you want a little bit more, you can always just OC the 667 to almost 800 speeds. Just make sure you get the right RAM to OC. I wouldn't go with the Corsair for OCing, because they are not doing so good right now with the C2D's. It is sort of a hit or miss situation.
