Anyone own the QNIX QX2710 LED EVOLUTION II DPORT (with DisplayPort)? Have you managed to OC it?

Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone can chime in on performance of the PLS monitors with DisplayPort?

I just will be using a MacBook Air to drive it (just has DisplayPort) and instead of using the monoprice adapter I thought I would just spring for the DisplayPort version of the QNIX but there is not much talk about it.

If I do go for the monoprice adapter can you still overclock it then use an adapter?

I'm just going to pushing pixels around in browsers and text editors, won't really be gaming but still have heard good things about overclocking a monitor for normal chores like I'll be using it for. If you think I'm an idiot and think you can't tell the difference, please let me know, I'm a noob smile.gif.

Thanks.

Overclocking without gaming? See utterly no point.

Good choice! People should learn from you and get the right monitor for the job. Instead of buying the cheapest thing and trying to make it work.

Probably won't overclock. Sorry. If you go with a monoprice adapter + standard DVI Qnix, you'll probably be able to overclock - but unlikely that you'll able to do so stably. Don't go this route. Get the DP monitor. Fewer headaches. No overclock, but you're on a MBA anyhow, don't think there' been anyone who's been able to overclock on OSX anyhow.
