Well, no wonder the price tag then.

Where are the people who said AMD will never release so expensive chip again, I wonder? There was 1000$ AMD FX 5x series back in the 939 days but those had right performance for the price, these joke CPU's don't.
Back in those days, AMD held the performance crown, but even then the FX CPU's were never good value. Heck, they even had non-FX CPU's for $900+.
I had a 3800+ back in those days.
The people who claim AMD is the price/performance King have NO clue about AMD's history. They play the price / performance card out of necessity
ever since Conroe came into the picture.

Your statement is 100% opinion.

The funny thing is that the AMD loyalists love AMD because of its "Price / Performance" this CPU does not scream Price / Performance in any way, shape or form. Even they are going to have a hard time justifying or buying this CPU. They often compare the $200 8350 to the 3770K / 4770K and buy it because it's cheaper.

I remember it perfectly fine, I try reminding people of this fact, and it's like I'm speaking Russian to some of these guys.
All they know AMD for is Price / Performance.
