Thanks.
The best is yet to come, well the best in my opinion anyway, or at least the trickiest for me to accomplish provided I am able to..

Just had a rather abstract idea and was wondering do you think it can be done.
If you are familiar with vapor polishing you know that the finer the starting surface texture the shinier/clearer the polycarbonate
will be after being introduced to the methyl chloride vapors. Well to get to the point I am wondering if I were to etch/sand sections
of the window if I could get kind of a ghost image that is nearly invisible under normal light but visible under UV light or light that
enters the sides of the window like when you place LEDs in the side of the acrylic/poly. I know they make UV reactive clear but I
am not sure how well it works or if it can be impregnated into the window so vapor polishing wouldn't cause an adverse reaction.
I have plenty of scraps laying around maybe I will experiment.

This is my window badge (5" diameter) sitting on a reprint of the template I used, you can see it isn't perfect
but without the template there for reference you would never know.

Since my in process pics were corrupt I will cover the steps I took.
  1. Print template and adhere it to aluminum with spray adhesive
  2. Rough cut with jig saw from 1/4" aluminum leaving tabs in the center to bolt the two wings together
  3. Used a combination of 1/8" carbide burr in Dremel and about 10 different files in various size and cuts
  4. Cut tabs off and finish the inner edge of the wings

Next cut/route the window to inlay the badge.

Still trying to decide on the finish. (paint, anodize, or polish) and thinking about putting a 3mm LED in the side of each wing.
