ECS has achieved Non-Z Series CPU overclocking with H87, B85, and H81 motherboards by simply adjusting the CPU Ratio inside the BIOS, offering an extremely easy way of overclocking your CPU. More importantly, H87, B85, and H81 CPU overclocking ability provides an affordable solution for seasoned or casual overclockers at a wide range or price levels.

You know that's it's an ECS board when they're using 1.78v for 4.8GHz tongue.gif

The max voltage is when your VRM starts to release the magic smoke.

Seen it happen when someone tried to undo the a Sudden Northwood Death Syndrome by upping the voltage.

Max safe on air is around 1.5v~. If you don't want to degrade the chip.

1.6v+ is LN2 temperature, hell, at the Haswell Launch event I used 1.67v~ for 6.3GHz, and that was under Liquid Nitrogen.....that chip will be useless after that. Assuming they are on air.

Did not quite follow much Haswell LN2 records but did it beat IVY?
