I'll check that out if i can't get IDA Pro to work.
Have you tried right clicking on it in taskmanager and then click Open File Location?
I know where the file is at, which is why i want to know what is does. If it were from a third party company I would expect it to be under that companies name in Program Files or else be more than just 1 executable with no other peripheral files. This is under Program Files, then iReport, then iReport Client, then iReport.exe. It is the only file as well which seems odd. I suspect its a homebrewed reporting/monitoring/tracking application that the company uses. But I want to know for sure what it is because, well, I'm bored.

You can use a hex-editor and attempt to decode maybe some of it... but beyond something simple, it would take great skill.
Great skill is something I don't have, at least not in terms of programming. I can hold my own on basic C++ but thats about it and that was a few years ago. I'm determined to figure this out one way or another though. What can I say, I like challenges
