Does he need a Z87 chipset? I know that the G43 from MSi is a decent budget board and so is the MATX UD3 from Gigabyte. A buddy of mine has had some good Overclocking his 4770K with the ASrock H87 Professional. Does he have a specific form factor he wants to go with? Like ITX, MAXT, EATX, XL AXT?

I have a MSI Z87-G45 and had sent back a asrock extreme 4 as i wasnt happy with it. Cheap feeling bios, included software didnt work. MSI board at the time was same price and imo has better audio (thanks to creative software), better board layout, looks better, better software, and more importantly a much better BIOS.

I also grabbed a MSI video card as i had one in the past that ran forever and was rock solid. So far both my new MSI board and 660ti 3GB are awesome, very happy with them.
