Need Advise for the choice of the GPU. GTX770 or GTX670 SLI.

Thread Starter
Hi there,

I am new to the overclock.net.
I have my rig is as followed:

i7 3770K OC to 4.3GHz
G.Skill Rawjaw xm1600 16GB
Gigabyte GTX 670 3x windforces 2 GB
Cooler Master PSU 750W

I am thinking to upgrade the GPU and I come to the point that whether I go for a single GTX770 which is just release recently or I go for another GTX 670 and run SLI to be 4GB.

I was checking both specs but still I cannot come out with the conclusion.

Any advice or recommendation would be really appreciate??

Thank you

I'm not too knowledgeable on the performance of the cards, but I can tell you that you will not increase your VRAM by going SLI. Two GTX 670 2 GB in SLI will still have a total of 2 GB of usable VRAM.

I think GTX670SLi would be better than single GTX770 as GTX770 is almost equivalent to GTX680 in terms of performance.

Definitely SLI the 670. You could overclock the 670 you have now to just below 770 performance.

the 770 is not meant nor is an upgrade from a 670; the performance is better but its more for someone who has a 660 or below.
