What about the games from E3?

Everyone has been talking about the X1 vs. PS4 but I have seen very little talk about the games.

So what does everyone think? Are you excited about many of the games that are goign to be coming out for the PC/X1/PS4/360/PS3?

I made a quick list of the games I am excited about and there were only two that are not atleast rumored to be coming to PC

Project Spark(Windows 8)
The Division(Rumored)
Watch Dogs(PC)
Forza 5(X1)
Titanfall(PC)
Infamous Second Son(PS4)
Destiny(Rumored)
Rome 2(PC Only)

Due to this list I currently dont see myself getting either of the consoles and would much rather spend the $500 that I would have spend on an X1 or PS4 and get another GPU or something...

However, The Division just looks amazing to me. I love the Companion app for friends that can control a Drone in your game from a tablet if he does not have access to a computer at the time of when you are playing. The seamless multiplayer/single player I also find to be a really interesting fun concept. They have also said that there will be no endgame to it so I imagine there is goign to be something alogn the lines of what you seen in Planetside 2 where you choose a faction and you fight as part of it after you beat the campaign or something like that....wether it is against the AI or other players online.

Titanfall reminds me alot of the old unreal games with the high jumping and running off billboards and such. Looks to be a fun, fast paced game.

Project Spark looks like it would be fun to play especially with family and I love being able to make my own levels in games.

Destiny looks kinda like Borderlands in many ways but looks to have some elements that make it different.

Everyone knows Watch Dogs

Rome 2 looks massive and fun, I am really worried my PC wont be able to handle it very well.

Forza looks like a ton of fun and I like the technology in the "drivatar" but wether or not that actually will work has yet to be seen.

Infamous franchise I didnt care for much in the past but the combat in the new one looks to be alot of fun but I can see how it may still get to be a little repetitive.

What are your guys' take on the new games? Any favorites?

  • Dragon Age: Inquisition
  • The Witcher 3
  • Watch Dogs
  • The Evil Within (to a much lesser extent)

Nothing else at E3 was relevant. DA:I seems like it will be amazing; the scale will rival DA:O. I doubt it will be as perfect as DA:O of course.

The Witcher 3 going open world is also interesting; one of my pet peeves is having invisible walls everywhere, forcing me down the same paths all the time, and blocking areas that clearly look accessible. I doubt the open world will be on the same level as Skyrim or Fallout, but I'm still interested.

Watch Dogs looks really innovative and ambitious, it could be amazing or it could fall short. Time will tell.

The Evil Within... a mainstream survival horror game? There hasn't been one for many years. Same creator as the true Resident Evil games too, so I'm interested.

As for the consoles... lol.

Ah, I forgot about the first two on your list. I have never been too much into the RPG games but I am starting to get into them now.

I doubt my PC would be able to run Witcher 3 well enough to show off it's graphics.

From the looks of both games, I believe running DA:I would be a bigger concern. As for RPGs, I only got into them a little over a year ago, and now I hardly play anything else. It's crazy how in this time, I got 640 hours in Skyrim, 185 hours in Fallout 3, 175-180 hours in Fallout: New Vegas, 225 hours in Dragon Age: Origins (three playthroughs), finished one playthrough of Dragon Age 2, nearly finished The Witcher (before that SSD got corrupt), finished two playthroughs of The Witcher 2, and finished the entire Mass Effect series. eek.gif

I found it easiest to play "light" RPG games first, that is, games with very little RPG elements that were still more in my comfort zone. The Witcher series falls right into this category.

Ryse was something I was really looking forward to...until I realized it is just Asura's Wrath in Ancient Rome without the DBZ elements. Too many quick-time events and not enough actual game time. The division looked ok. Don't know why everyone is so excited about it. Watch Dogs is still the game I want the most and there was not enough Arkham Origins.
