PT Nuke vs Silver Coil

Thread Starter
I'm reading so many mixed inputs on this that I'm confused.

I've ran the silver in my resevior for the past 10 months - 1 year. No problems, no corroding, nothing. I recently added a nickle plated EK GTX 670 waterblock to my loop and I've heard some of the bad things about nickle corroding.

I have a copper CPU block, brass/copper radiator, and now a nickle GPU block. Would it be bad for my blocks if I kept the silver in the loop? Or should I put the PT Nuke in there instead?

Ek just used silver as an excuse for their poor plating process. My EK motherboard block is nickel plated (old style before the problems) and i've had silver running in my loop for 3 years without any corrosion. I just recently (1 year) started using a dazmode protector in my loop for the biocide and anti-corrosion additives and i still left my silver coil in my loop. I wouldn't bother.

No Galvanic Corrosion will occur since they are near each other on the galvanic chart.
