Can i use a thermal pad from a mosfet on my NB?

Thread Starter
So basically i noticed that if i use thermal paste on my nb within a few days it has almost completely oozed off to the side and the NB starts getting hot. So i came across a dead PSU and whilst messing with it i found out the mosfets in it have these little thermal pads on them and i was wondering if thats with some added thermal paste to both sides will do a better job cooling my NB than just thermal paste?

To my knowledge, most chipset heat sinks use thermal pads. I would recommend against re-using a pad and you don't need to put grease over the pad. I'd clean the heatsink with isopropyl alcohol and use a fresh piece of thermal interface pad.

This site has lots of choices.
