I think I know what I need to do but I don't know how. My graphics card uses 2pin audio, but i dont know were to connnect it. I have a xonar DG audio card as well.

So you want sound from your GPU and the soundcard?

Why? Just set the soundcard as the primary audio and bypass the one on the GPU.

Dear Sir, that post gave us as much info as a slice of cheese that has been left in the fridge for a month.

Tell us which GPU/other hardware you are talking about before we can help with anything...

tstar: just for the purpose of having it. I can leave it as is, but have time so I'm trying to get it to work

Tiihokatti: the GPU is from another computer that I had all the info I have is G86-GW. The tower is a HP xw4600 workstation, but that is fairly unimportant. the GPU takes a 2pin cord for audio that has red n black strands. just need to know where to plug in the other end

There's no really good reason to hook up the internal audio connection anyhow. The HDMI digital audio output on your GPU has it's own output channel in Windows.

BTW: You need at least 4 wires for stereo. 2 ground, and a left and right positive. That 2-pin red/black connection must be for something else.

The GPU should only take one power connector? Could you post some pictures or find some for reference of the card you have and the problem you are having?

I have never heard of a GPU with a separate audio power requirements.

Some pics or model of the gfx card you are using would help. If you are trying to play audio through HDMI you have to enable the audio passthrough from your audio settings and make sure it uses that passthrough rather than your audio card.
