Can you please help me to find my next monitor?

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a new monitor. I am not an expert and I have been looking for two weeks. I am running a single gigabyte 660ti oc 2gb graphic card. I want to buy a monitor with nice colours and sharp images. I liked XL2411T as it puts very clear and sharp pictures but colours arent the best (according to youtube videos). That's why I am looking for samsung S27A750D in 120hz class and Eizo FS2333 in 60hz. Samsung seems an older tech as it was manufactured in 2011 and I can't use 3D due to my graphic card and it fails.

Any suggestion of a monitor that will allow me to get a clear & sharp images with nice colours from Gigabyte 660 TI OC 2gb?

Can a single gigabyte 660 ti oc 2gb card produce frame rates enough and worth to buy a 120hz monitor?

Please share your thoughts...

Sure, I would personally recommend a monitor that shows billions of colors. It gives games so much more clarity and depth vs avg monitors showing millions of colors. These monitors are mainly use for graphic editing, but who cares? (;

Check this one out.

My concerns are as follows below;

- My graphic card is a single gigabye 660 TI OC 2gb. What will be my fps rate in the games similar to COD - Black Ops 2, Max Payne, Alan Wake and recent NFS racing games. If my refresh rate will be around 70-80, then i will not go for 120hz monitor as it will not worth to give up on 60hz IPS with decent colours.

- At the moment I get 60 fps in COD in 720p. If I get a 1440p monitor, will my graphic card still produce 60fps on the screen ( for an eg on P246Q)?

- I really want to get nice and clear picture. As long as the images on the screen don't get mixed up and messy. I watched a video of gw2760hs on youtube, and colours are amazing but the images are not clear at all. I dont want only colours on my screen without clear images. It just looks like a rainbow. I am putting the link for the monitor below.

- So is there any other monitor that would give me what I want?

Currently I am using my wifes monitor. It is a Samsung 2253LW 2ms GTG / 5ms BTW. It is a 60hz monitor. It is a 6 year old monitor. The clearness is quite well in COD. I just need to find a monitor as she wants her monitor back ASAP smile.gif

I shortlisted my list;

- VG278HE $500
- LG IPS277L-B $400
- LG IPS237L-B $200
- Enzio FS2333 $400
- Asus VG23AH $330
- Philips Gioco 278G4 3D Display $400

Which one should I go for?

You should get this:
http://www.ipsledmonitors.com/QNIX-QX2710-Evolution-II-Monitor-p/qni1.htm

The problem is your 2GB. Id upgrade to a 7970 or 7950 fist. You will probably not get 60FPS maxed out.

Thank you for your nice advice but I do not feel very good about buying an unknown brand.

How about gaming on PA248Q? Is it any better than 1080p?

Also it seems like I am between Samsung s27a750 as has the best colours in 120hz class and EIZO FS233 which is the best ips for gaming. PA248Q is tempting as well....just confused smile.gif

by the way can I run the 3d on Samsung s27a750 with some kind of software?
