Bloodbath build

Thread Starter
I am looking to start a new thread making my rig "Bloodbath".

I am in the process of looking at parts and deciding the way to go.

The name Bloodbath originated from a guild I made In a previous MMO. This rig will be mostly used for mmo gaming. I know it's not tr most extensive type of games but I hate laggg.

I'm guessing ill go Haswell since the prices are pretty much the same. The decision is pretty much go with either:

i5 4670k or i7 4770k CPU

Msi Z87-g41 pc mate lga 1150 atx or
Asus z87-a sli lga 1150 atx

I do not ever plan on running sli because in my opinion most of my games mmos that is seen to work better with a higher end single card. So I would rather just upgrade to a never video card then to add another of the same card down the road.

Ill start here but Iirerally need to pick out everything from a power supply and case to ram and graphics card.

Will post pics as I order as well to keep the anticipation going.

You think going with a i5 and better mobo will be more worth going i7 with a cheaper mobo?
Absolutely. If you are only gaming you will not see the performance increase of an i7 over an i5. Better motherboard is always the choice

Any suggestions on a decent one to pair it with. I doubt I will ever run sli. I like having just one high end card . Mmos usually don't need a dual cards

Ok. I been going back and forth for days now. I cannot take it anymore. People have some really nice cases and really nice paint any decals.

How are these people painting their cases? Spray paint? Lol might be a dumb question .

And as far as custom decals does anyone know a place you order from or?

I did not order a GPU yet because I am waiting until I hear further notice on when Final Fantasy A Realm Reborn will start its phase 4... Having 2 day shipping is key from amazon...

I really want to dip into water cooling. I have never done it before and been watching video after video.. It does not look that hard but I am juts confusing myself more and more with all the different options. What I really want is to water cool my cpu and maybe my gpu next year when the 800 series Nvidia cards come out.. I been trying to get a few opinions on what I should pickup for a starter kit that I can add on from their. Some suggest something along the lines of a Hw100 and some suggest a XSPC 750.

Now I know water cooling has its importance of cooling. My pc will be in my basement in which is pretty cold so that helps out. What I want out of water cooling is the look of it too. I really would like the color of fluid to be along the lines of blood red hence my build called Bloodbath. If someone can help me with a setup that would fit into my case NZXT 810 real nicely I would greatly appreciate it. I keep going to the different sites and make myself more confused everytime.

Also thinking maybe a bay drive for my coolant or one of those circle reserve tubes that look amazing in peoples build.

I will update some pics today because I have some packages coming ..
