CPU's Lifespan Before Bottlenecking

Thread Starter
What would you give the life of a CPU before it bottlenecked due to the GPU? I intend to get Intel's 4770k processor in the next month or so. I'm curious as to how much life I'm going to get out of it? It will be up against regular high-end GPU updates every couple years. Gaming is at 1440p. I'm personally hoping for at least 5 years of solid gaming performance without much issue.

Thanks
